BTW....there are a few photo references of the petcock in Clymer's manual and they always show petcock horizontal. If my Honda days serve me correct, I'd be willing to bet that the PRI marking is for "Primary"(as in Primary Tank)and not "Prime". Stands to resson that RES is for "Reserve" (as in Reserve Tank)?? Just taking a wild guess here....but again, my bike runs perfect with the valve horizontal. Vertical position causes it to stutter and stall.
